The following statement was entered into the record for Supervisors Antonovich and Molina:
�On August 22, 2006, the Board of Supervisors approved a reward offer of $10,000 for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the suspects responsible for the heinous murder of Andre Alexander Laurent. According to the Chief of the Pomona Police Department, the case has reached the point where an increase to the $10,000 reward will amplify awareness of the case and the urgency of locating and capturing the suspect(s). The Pomona Police Department is respectfully requesting that the reward amount be increased from $10,000 to $20,000.
�Andre Alexander Laurent was fatally shot and killed on January 4, 2006, at approximately 8:30 p.m. at an Arco Gas Station in the City of Pomona. The suspects are described as male Hispanics, late teens to mid 20�s, with medium builds. They had shaved heads at the time of the shootings but otherwise did not appear to be gang members. There were seen driving a four-door Chevrolet Blazer (S 10 model) 1995-98, medium blue, roof rack and tinted windows.
�The Pomona Police Department is seeking assistance from anyone who may have information that can aid in their investigation.�
Therefore, on motion of Supervisor Antonovich, seconded by Supervisor Molina, unanimously carried, the Board extended and increased the $10,000 reward offered to $20,000 for any information leading to the arrest and conviction of the person or persons responsible for fatally shooting 24-year-old Andre Alexander Laurent on January 4, 2006, at approximately 8:30 p.m. at an Arco Gas Station in the City of Pomona.

LOS ANGELES COUNTY BOARD OF SUPERVISORSNotice is hereby given that the Board of Supervisors of the County of Los Angeles has extended and increased the $10,000 reward offered to $20,000 for any information leading to the arrest and conviction of the person or persons responsible for fatally shooting 24 year old Andre Alexander Laurent on January 4, 2006, at approximately 8:30 p.m. at an Arco Gas Station in the City of Pomona.
Any person having any information related to this crime is requested to call Detectives Danny Kono or Robert Nelson at the Pomona Police Department at (909) 620-2358 and refer to Report No. 06-1980.
The terms of the reward provide that:
The information given that leads to the determination of the identity, the apprehension and conviction of any person or persons must be given no later than August 17, 2007. All reward claims must be in writing and shall be received no later than October 16, 2007. The total County payment of any and all rewards shall in no event exceed $20,000 and no claim shall be paid prior to conviction unless the Board of Supervisors makes a finding of impossibility of conviction due to the death or incapacity of the person or persons responsible for the crime or crimes. The County reward may be apportioned between various persons and/or paid for the conviction of various persons as the circumstances fairly dictate.Any claims for the reward funds should be filed no later than October 16, 2007 with the Executive Officer of the Board of Supervisors, 500 West Temple Street, Room 383 Kenneth Hahn Hall of Administration, Los Angeles, California 90012, Attention: Andre Alexander Laurent Reward Fund.
