At its meeting held April 3, 2007, the Board took the following action:
Supervisor Antonovich made the following statement:
�On July 11, 2006, the Board of Supervisors approved a reward offer of $10,000 for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the person(s) responsible for the heinous murder of Esfandiar (a.k.a. Steve) Kadivar. The reward will expire on April 7, 2007.
�Sixty-four-year-old, Esfandiar Kadivar was found shot and killed at his 200-acre ranch in Lancaster near Avenue I and 120th Street West at 10:30 p.m., July 5, 2006.
�Sheriff�s Homicide Bureau is seeking assistance with information that could aid in their investigation.�
Therefore, on motion of Supervisor Antonovich, seconded by Supervisor Yaroslavsky, unanimously carried, the Board extended the $10,000 reward offered for any information leading to the arrest and conviction of person or persons responsible for the murder of Esfandiar (a.k.a. Steve) Kadivar, who was found shot and killed at his 200-acre ranch near Avenue I and 120th Street West, in the City of Lancaster on Wednesday, July 5, 2006 at approximately 10:30 p.m.

LOS ANGELES COUNTY BOARD OF SUPERVISORSNotice is hereby given that the Board of Supervisors of the County of Los Angeles has extended the $10,000 reward offered for any information leading to the arrest and conviction of person or persons responsible for the murder of Esfandiar (a.k.a. Steve) Kadivar, who was found shot and killed at his 200-acre ranch near Avenue I and 120th Street West, in the City of Lancaster on Wednesday, July 5, 2006 at approximately 10:30 p.m.
Any person having any information related to this crime is requested to call Detectives Scott Fines or Gary Sica at the Los Angeles County Sheriff�s Homicide Bureau at (323) 890-5543 and refer to Report No. 006-14595-1188-011.
The terms of the reward provide that:
The information given that leads to the determination of the identity, the apprehension and conviction of any person or persons must be given no later than July 6, 2007. All reward claims must be in writing and shall be received no later than September 4, 2007. The total County payment of any and all rewards shall in no event exceed $10,000 and no claim shall be paid prior to conviction unless the Board of Supervisors makes a finding of impossibility of conviction due to the death or incapacity of the person or persons responsible for the crime or crimes. The County reward may be apportioned between various persons and/or paid for the conviction of various persons as the circumstances fairly dictate.Any claims for the reward funds should be filed no later than September 4, 2007 with the Executive Officer of the Board of Supervisors, 500 West Temple Street, Room 383 Kenneth Hahn Hall of Administration, Los Angeles, California 90012, Attention: Esfandiar Kadivar Reward Fund.
