At its meeting held , the Board took the following action:
Supervisor Knabe made the following statement:
"On March 18, Norwalk Superior Court Commissioner H. George Taylor and his wife Lynda were brutally gunned-downed in the driveway of their Rancho Cucamonga home."
"The San Bernardino County Sheriff is investigating this double homicide and it has come to our attention that offering a reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the person or persons involved could assist in solving this horrible crime."
Therefore, Supervisor Knabe made a motion that the Board approve the establishment of a $5,000 reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the person or persons responsible for the murders of Norwalk Superior Court Commissioner H. George Taylor and his wife Lynda, who were brutally gunned-downed in the driveway of their Rancho Cucamonga home on Thursday, March 18, 1999 at approximately 9:30 p.m.
Supervisor Antonovich made a suggestion that Supervisor Knabes motion be amended to increase the reward offer to $25,000, with $5,000 payable from each Supervisorial Districts discretionary funds. Supervisor Knabe accepted Supervisor Antonovichs amendment.
Supervisor Knabes motion, as amended, seconded by Supervisor Antonovich, was unanimously carried.

LOS ANGELES COUNTY BOARD OF SUPERVISORSNotice is hereby given that the Board of Supervisors of the County of Los Angeles is offering a $25,000.00 reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the person or persons responsible for the murders of Norwalk Superior Court Commissioner H. George Taylor and his wife Lynda, who were brutally gunned-downed in the driveway of their Rancho Cucamonga home on Thursday, March 18, 1999 at approximately 9:30 p.m.
Any person having any information related to this crime is requested to call Sergeant Robert Dean at the San Bernardino County Sheriffs Homicide Division at (909) 387-3589 or (909) 387-3608 and refer to Report No. 119903131.
The terms of the reward provide that:
- The County reward may be apportioned between various persons and/or paid for the conviction of various persons as the circumstances fairly dictate.
- The total County payment of any and all rewards shall in no event exceed $25,000 and no claim shall be paid prior to conviction unless the Board of Supervisors makes a finding of impossibility of conviction due to the death or incapacity of the person or persons responsible for the crime or crimes.
- The information given that leads to the determination of the identity, the apprehension and conviction of any person or persons must be given no later than July 5, 1999. All reward claims must be in writing and shall be received no later than September 3, 1999.
