At its meeting held May 31, 2005, the Board took the following action:
Supervisor Antonovich made the following statement:“On March 22, 2005, the Board of Supervisors approved a reward offer of $5,000 for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the person or persons responsible for the vandalisms to approximately one hundred vehicles, five businesses and New Vista Middle School since March 10, 2005. The reward offered will expire on June 20, 2005.”
Therefore, on motion of Supervisor Antonovich, seconded by Supervisor Yaroslavsky, unanimously carried, the Board approved the extension of the $5,000 reward offered for any information leading to the arrest and conviction of the person or persons responsible for the vandalism of approximately 100 vehicles, 5 businesses and New Vista Middle School in the Lancaster area east of Sierra Hwy., since March 10, 2005.

LOS ANGELES COUNTY BOARD OF SUPERVISORS
Notice is hereby given that the Board of Supervisors of the County of Los Angeles has extended the $5,000 reward offered for any information leading to the arrest and conviction of the person or persons responsible for the vandalism of approximately 100 vehicles, 5 businesses and New Vista Middle School in the Lancaster area east of Sierra Hwy., since March 10, 2005.
Any person having any information related to this crime is requested to call Lieutenant Donald Downton at the Lancaster Sheriff’s Station at (661) 940-3840 and refer to Report No. 405-04945-1135-263.
The terms of the reward provide that:
- The information given that leads to the determination of the identity, the apprehension and conviction of any person or persons must be given no later than September 18, 2005. All reward claims must be in writing and shall be received no later than November 17, 2005.
- The total County payment of any and all rewards shall in no event exceed $5,000 and no claim shall be paid prior to conviction unless the Board of Supervisors makes a finding of impossibility of conviction due to the death or incapacity of the person or persons responsible for the crime or crimes.
- The County reward may be apportioned between various persons and/or paid for the conviction of various persons as the circumstances fairly dictate.
Any claims for the reward funds should be filed no later than November 17, 2005 with the Executive Officer of the Board of Supervisors, 500 West Temple Street, Room 383 Kenneth Hahn Hall of Administration, Los Angeles, California 90012, Attention: Lancaster Area Vandalism Reward Fund.
