Murder of Ryan Dasalla

At its meeting held February 6, 2007, the Board took the following action:

Supervisor Antonovich made the following statement:

“On April 27, 2005, a Gabrielino High School student, Ryan Dasalla, was murdered on Gladys Avenue south of Scott, near Gabrielino High School. While one of the two suspects, Gabriel Guerrero, has been arrested, the second suspect, Daniel Guerrero (the arrestee’s 20-year-old brother), is still at large despite an aggressive search.

“The Sheriff’s Homicide Bureau is seeking assistance for any information that may assist in the arrest and conviction of suspect Daniel Guerrero for this heinous crime.”

Therefore, on motion of Supervisor Antonovich, seconded by Supervisor Knabe, unanimously carried, the Board approved the establishment of a $10,000 reward for any information leading to the arrest and conviction of suspect Daniel Guerrero for the murder of Ryan Dasalla on Gladys Avenue south of Scott, near Gabrielino High School, on April 27, 2005.

Notice is hereby given that the Board of Supervisors of the County of Los Angeles established a $10,000 reward for any information leading to the arrest and conviction of suspect Daniel Guerrero for the murder of Ryan Dasalla on Gladys Avenue south of Scott, near Gabrielino High School, on April 27, 2005.

Any person having any information related to this crime is requested to call Detective David Carver at the Los Angeles County Homicide Bureau at (323) 890-5566 and refer to Report No. 2005-00042-3199-011.

The terms of the reward provide that:

The information given that leads to the determination of the identity, the apprehension and conviction of any person or persons must be given no later than May 7, 2007. All reward claims must be in writing and shall be received no later than July 6, 2007.
The total County payment of any and all rewards shall in no event exceed $10,000 and no claim shall be paid prior to conviction unless the Board of Supervisors makes a finding of impossibility of conviction due to the death or incapacity of the person or persons responsible for the crime or crimes.
The County reward may be apportioned between various persons and/or paid for the conviction of various persons as the circumstances fairly dictate.

Any claims for the reward funds should be filed no later than July 6, 2007 with the Executive Officer of the Board of Supervisors, 500 West Temple Street, Room 383 Kenneth Hahn Hall of Administration, Los Angeles, California 90012, Attention: Ryan Dasalla Reward Fund.
