At its meeting held April 3, 2007, the Board took the following action:

      Supervisor Antonovich made the following statement:

      �Two sexual assault incidents in the Santa Clarita Valley have occurred placing the community at great risk. The first assault took place on Saturday, January 6, 2007 at 6:50 a.m., on Stillmore Street, Canyon Country. The latest assault occurred in the early morning hours of March 29, 2007, in the 19000 block of Four Oaks Street in Canyon Country.

�The Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff�s Station is seeking assistance with information that could aid in their investigation.�

      Therefore, on motion of Supervisor Antonovich, seconded by Supervisor Yaroslavsky, unanimously carried, the Board established a $10,000 reward for any information leading to the arrest and conviction of the person or persons responsible for the two sexual assault incidents in the Santa Clarita Valley which occurred on January 6, 2007, on Stillmore Street, Canyon Country and March 29, 2007, in the 19000 block of Four Oaks Street in Canyon Country.


NOTICE OF $10,000.00 REWARD
OFFERED BY THE
LOS ANGELES COUNTY BOARD OF SUPERVISORS

Notice is hereby given that the Board of Supervisors of the County of Los Angeles established a $10,000 reward offered for any information leading to the arrest and conviction of the person or persons responsible for the two sexual assault incidents in the Santa Clarita Valley which occurred on January 6, 2007, on Stillmore Street, Canyon Country, and March 29, 2007, in the 19000 block of Four Oaks Street in Canyon Country.

Any person having any information related to this crime is requested to call Detective Gill at the Los Angeles County Sheriff�s Santa Clarita Station, Detective Bureau at (661) 799-5141 or (661) 255-1121 and refer to Report Nos. 007-00315-0612-021 or 407-05919-0611-021.

The terms of the reward provide that:

  • The information given that leads to the determination of the identity, the apprehension and conviction of any person or persons must be given no later than July 2, 2007. All reward claims must be in writing and shall be received no later than August 31, 2007.
  • The total County payment of any and all rewards shall in no event exceed $10,000 and no claim shall be paid prior to conviction unless the Board of Supervisors makes a finding of impossibility of conviction due to the death or incapacity of the person or persons responsible for the crime or crimes.
  • The County reward may be apportioned between various persons and/or paid for the conviction of various persons as the circumstances fairly dictate.

Any claims for the reward funds should be filed no later than August 30, 2007 with the Executive Officer of the Board of Supervisors, 500 West Temple Street, Room 383 Kenneth Hahn Hall of Administration, Los Angeles, California 90012, Attention: Santa Clarita Valley Sexual Assault Reward Fund.
